The Provost & Vice President of Academics is responsible for the administration of all of the College’s academic programs including the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Adult and Graduate Studies, and the School of Engineering.

  • Maintain and enhance the mission of the College through all its academic enterprises
  • Provide the faculty with leadership and instruction so that all courses taught at the College reflect a Christian and biblical worldview while recognizing that the Bible as the Word of God is at once the foundation and the ultimate authority for all learning
  • Foster the understanding throughout the College community of the account of the six days of creation as revealed in Genesis and an understanding of the creation of Adam and Eve as the first historical persons
  • Provide leadership for faculty welfare, growth, and development as well as regular assessment of all faculty and academic leaders
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and planning for all academic instruction within the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Adult and Graduate Studies, and the School of Engineering
  • Provide leadership and oversight of all educational programs and curricula development, approval, and assessment
  • Allocate resources and oversee the budgeting for the three schools within the College
  • Maintain the College’s current national, regional, and state accreditations. Communicate to all external agencies with which the College maintains accreditation
  • Oversee the library, the Registrar’s office, and the Academic Success Center
  • An earned doctorate from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Experience in academic administration within an institution of higher learning
  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be committed to serving Him and His church.
