Health & Wellness
A successful Bryan experience is shaped by the learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom. Staff and faculty are committed to maximizing those opportunities by providing services that will promote and enhance overall health and wellness of each student as well as that of the college community.
The Bryan PolyClinic is located on campus on the first floor of the Rankin Center. Staffed by medical professionals, the clinic provides basic health services to the Bryan community. Appointments can be made online or by calling 423.775.7150.
Residence Life Staff
The residence halls provide a living environment where students develop a strong sense of community, receive encouragement, support, and guidance, and are given opportunity to serve others and grow in Christ.
A resident director lives in each resident hall to give guidance and oversight within the richness of living in the Bryan community. Resident directors serve students by providing advice, wise counsel, and accountability. The residence life staff seeks to identify students’ needs, facilitate healthy student relationships and promote individual growth. More info »
Occasionally a student will face personal or life issues that call for more involved assistance. The counseling staff is here to provide individual counseling, support groups, and referrals. Appointments can be made through the Office of Student Life located on the second floor of the Latimer Student Center. The Bryan College Fitness Center is located in Summers Gymnasium. It is available to all students, faculty and staff. The Fitness Center is comprised of a cardiovascular fitness area, a weight machines room, and a free weights room. More info »
Academic Support Center
When class assignments present a particular challenge and create increased stress levels, the staff at the Academic Support Center is there to help. Located on the first floor of the library, the peer tutors of the ASC offer writing consulting services and tutoring in a variety of subject areas. Students may schedule appointments online. In case of emergency call 911 then call 423.718.6696 (daytime) or 423.521.5454 (evening). Because Bryan College is an open campus everyone must be conscious of safety issues. Our rapid alert and notification system provides the campus community with immediate notice in the event of an emergency. Night patrol and local law enforcement provide regular watch over the campus.
