Overview Bryan College has been actively preparing students for exciting journalism careers for over 30 years. Students gain necessary insights in the classroom and are equipped with practical, hands-on experience as reporters writing for the school newspaper, BryanTriangle.com, and for area newspapers, TV stations and news websites through internships and freelance agreements.Journalism is the accurate and intentional reporting and commenting in the public media on the events and ideas of the day. It is, in essence, the first draft of history, and we believe it is vital that Christians be involved in all facets of reporting on that story of God’s redemptive grace in our world. At Bryan we train young journalists in the skills required to succeed in the secular newsroom: print, broadcast or online. But we teach our journalists to always evaluate their work through the lens of Scripture, knowing that all truth is God’s truth. Our prayer is that our graduates will be tough-minded, informed thinkers who seek to know God’s truth and convey it in ways that are accurate and honoring to God. Our students have won numerous awards for their reporting, and several of our graduates are working as journalists in newspapers, on TV and online. |
