The festivities will begin Friday, Oct. 10, with a special homecoming chapel service given by Dean Ropp ’81. That afternoon will be filled with meet-and-greets for career services, business majors, and worldview team members, leading up to several celebratory dinners to choose from, including Tuscany in the Triangle, the alumni basketball dinner, and the 25th reunion dinner for the Class of 1989. The night closes with the Starlight Dessert and Coffee Social in the Triangle and the annual excitement of alumni soccer, rugby, and baseball games.
Saturday has even more offerings for fun and fellowship, from the Paw Pounder races and alumni volleyball and basketball games to the annual tailgate lunch and Alumni Awards Dinner. Also taking place Saturday is the choir concert honoring Dr. David Luther, when an alumni choir will perform the Dan Forrest choral piece composted especially for “Dr. D,” “Hail the Day that sees Him Rise,” among other favorite songs.
As things wind down Sunday, there will be a special alumni chapel service that the whole Bryan community is encouraged to attend, led by Dr. Danny Campbell ’89.
“We’re so excited to welcome our Bryan Lions home again in 2014,” said Alumni Director Paulakay Hall. “Homecoming is such a special time to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, and this year’s event will be great!”
Registration is still open online and will also take place on campus at 10 A.M – 6 P.M on Friday, Oct. 10, and 9 A.M. – 3 P.M. on Saturday, Oct. 11.
