Bryan Community participates in 6th annual MLK Community Service Day
January 19, 2010
More than 600 students, faculty and staff spent the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday working out the theme of “Love Where You Live” during Bryan's sixth annual community service day.
MLK Day coordinator Danielle Rebman said work teams spent the day raking leaves, cleaning flower beds and cleaning and painting for senior citizens or helping churches and community organizations with special projects. Two groups of students played host to children from the community, introducing them to Bryan College and encouraging them to strive for academic success.
