Rising Bryan senior, Tyler Latham, was named to the 1st Team as a Catcher.

Latham is the first baseball player at Bryan to be named to the 1st Team and the second to receive All-American honors after outfielder Shane Clawson received an honorable mention following the 2012 season. The Appalachian Athletic Conference also named Latham to the All-AAC team for his efforts during the 2013 season.
Despite missing games due to injury, Latham led the team in batting average at .402, homeruns with 6 and RBI with 43. He also tallied 17 doubles, slugged .677 and had an on base percentage of .512.
“It was a great individual season,” Bryan Head Coach Taylor Hasty remarked. “Tyler’s best quality is his desire to do whatever it takes for the team to be successful. His desire to get better, his competitive nature and his commitment to the process are the reasons he was able to have such a special season.”
Latham will be one of the top players in the NAIA and a player to watch in the Appalachian Athletic Conference in 2014. He is one of only 8 players to be named to the 1st Team All-American list who are returning for the 2014 season.
