The Dayton Rotary Club held its annual scholarship luncheon on the Bryan College campus Dec. 6, awarding scholarships to two current students as part of the long-term support that has made the difference in the lives of so many Bryan students through the years.
(left to right) Dr. Stephen Livesay, senior Matt Jolly, sophomore Megan Harris, and Dayton Rotary Club President Vaughn Berger Rotary President-Elect Lebron Purser handed Bryan President Dr. Stephen Livesay the scholarship check at the beginning of the luncheon, after which Dr. Livesay welcomed the attendants. The Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. David Luther, entertained everyone with music during lunch. Senior Christian thought major Matt Jolly and sophomore biology major Megan Harris, both from Dayton, are grateful for the support of the Dayton Rotary and the ability to attend Bryan the scholarship has granted them.
Dr. Livesay expressed the school’s gratitude for the support of the Rotary Club and the interest its members take in furthering education. He said, “We certainly appreciate the scholarship, and we also appreciate the thought behind it – that Rotary wants to support this community through our students.”
