Aug. 21, 2014 — Bryan College faculty and staff and their families gathered together the evening of Monday, August 18, for a night of fellowship, food, introductions, and activities before school starts next week.
Family Fun Night attendees chat A total of 183 people (64 different families) attended the Family Fun Night, including several new faculty and staff members. Many activities awaited the attendees, including corn hole, a bounce house, and face painting. Red and gold balloons adorned the tables where they ate the spread of picnic food provided by Pioneer College Caterers.
Margie Legg and Alice Gray, who both work in the President’s office, planned the event. Legg said, “The children loved the games, the bouncy house, and the face painting offered by the Bryan cheer team,” noting the relaxed food-and-fellowship setting the event provided.
Cheer Team members paint children’s faces One particular highlight for the children who came was the cheer team, who welcomed them with smiles and offered to paint faces. Head Cheerleading Coach Janice Perron commented, “Besides leading the crowd in cheers for the men’s basketball team, the cheer team at Bryan is also in the business of service. The team was excited to be asked to help with the Family Fun Night – they love kids and had a great time seeing their faces light up when they saw their faces painted!”
This evening was truly a wonderful way for many in the Bryan Family to start off the 2014-2015 school year in fellowship with one another.
