October 29, 2015 – In a recent ranking put out by the Online Psychology Degree Guide, Bryan College placed no. 45 out of 50 in “Best Small Colleges 2015.”
“Aspiring psychology students must use discretion when choosing a school and program of study that provides the knowledge as well as the opportunities they’ll need to achieve their long-term goals,” said the ranking’s website, noting that the editors “have researched scores of small college undergraduate psychology programs and selected 50 that stand out amongst the rest in terms of program features and opportunities afforded students.”
Rating and ranking methodology took several factors into consideration, some of which included presence of master’s and doctoral degree programs, research opportunities, study abroad opportunities, internship and scholarship opportunities, and a “wow factor.”
Dr. Clark Rose, professor of psychology, remarked, “Bryan’s psychology program has the best to offer from a Christian worldview, and we are proud to have placed in this ranking. Our students have scored in the 99th percentile in the ETS Major Field Exam in Psychology for the past six years, and we have been told that their work in the annual Bryan College Undergraduate Research Conference was especially noted by the editors. It is an honor for the program to receive this recognition.”
