Voices of Zambia

Ambassador International University (formerly the International Bible College of Zambia) was the dream of Gospelink’s American leaders, as well as national preachers throughout southern Africa.  The preachers wanted a place where the young people in their churches and communities could receive a quality education and ministry training.

Those preachers sought out and secured the location for the university.  They worked for five years alongside American teams to build the campus.  After much planning, sacrifice, and labor, the dream of AIU became a reality and was opened for classes on January 31, 2009.

Currently students are receiving a degree in theology.  There is also a nursing program which will be launched in the near future, followed by a degree program in education.  In addition to their courses, students are also taught fundamental of construction, wood-working, agriculture, and livestock.  The faculty is international, consisting of professors from Zambia as well as the USA.

Each student attends on a work scholarship program and must complete 18 hours of work per week in various areas, which help to sustain and advance the university.  Funding for AIU is secured through donations of partners and the ongoing personal sponsorship of the students, graduates, and faculty.
