Event Details

RHEA MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM: Teen Maze is an event put together by non-profits in Rhea County for middle schoolers where they are faced with scenarios, go to different booths (Women’s Care Center, Rhea County Against Drugs, Sheriff’s Dept., etc.) based on the choices they make, and see the long-term outcomes of positive and negative life choices. Bryan students who help may be asked to assist at specific booths (last year students helped with high-traffic booths that every scenario uses, such as the budgeting scenario and the debriefing booth). Most likely, they will be floaters to help students find the next booth on their scenario, and chatting with them while they are waiting in line. It is a good chance to help students think by asking good questions (for example, some of us hung out around the funeral booth that has a casket and students write their obituaries because their choices led to an early death).
