The Bryan College Online Learning Attendance / Automatic Drop Policy is as follows: Students who do not notify the college appropriately (as outlined below) and who do not log in to their course(s) during the first official week and who have NOT previously notified the professor of their absence will be automatically dropped from the course. There is a $100.00 administrative fee that will be assessed.
How do I drop an on-line course?
There is only ONE WAY for you to drop: You must officially notify the Registrar in writing via email. To receive a full refund (less a $50 administrative fee), the drop is required prior to the official start date of the session. You must email the Bryan College Registrar at registrar@bryan.edu and the email must be received BEFORE midnight Eastern Time on the Sunday prior to the start of the course.
If you drop during the first or second week of the course:
You will receive a 50% tuition refund if you drop the course anytime during the first two weeks of the session. You must follow the drop procedure outlined above. From the start of the third week and through the end of the course there is no refund of any kind. Note: If you have used the Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant and drop a course after the session begins, you will no longer be eligible to use the grant for any future dual enrollment class.
Last time to withdraw or drop (Academic):
For each session that is 7 weeks in length, the last opportunity to drop the course with a W is at the end of the third week of the session. Following that time you will receive a final grade for the course (whether you choose to finish the course or not). If the session is 14 weeks, the last opportunity to drop the course with a W is at the end of the sixth week of the session. Following that time you will receive a final grade for the course (whether you choose to finish the course or not). Reminder: There is no financial refund of any kind following the second week of all sessions.
What if I get halfway through the course and don’t finish it? Will I lose my money?
