Instructions for Requesting a Transcript
Federal law requires that we have your signature in order to release your transcript. No exceptions will be made. You may mail your request to:

or fax your request to (423) 775-7215. Email requests cannot be accepted. Transcripts are normally processed within two working days except during holidays or the beginning and end of the semester. Please note that official transcript requests will not be processed if there is a financial hold on your account.
Please include the following information with your written request:
- Full name (please make certain maiden/former names are included if applicable)
- Your current address
- Social Security number
- Dates of attendance or date of graduation
- Number of copies required
- Complete address for mailing the transcript(s).
- The signature of the person whose transcript is being requested
All official transcripts are $5.00. We accept cash, check or money order made payable to Bryan College. Payment must be included with your request. Student copies of transcripts are free. Student copies are not official and will not bear the college seal or official signature of the college registrar. Student copies must also be requested in writing.
Student Records Policy
Bryan College maintains appropriate educational records for each student and assures the confidentiality of such records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974. The complete policy is available in our Academic Catalog.
Student records are confidential and will be released to persons outside the college only upon the written request of the student.
Directory Information
Bryan College protects the privacy of its students in compliance with FERPA regulations. Items listed as “directory information” are generally considered open to public inquiry. The following items are considered directory information:
- Student Name
- Campus Address (including e-mail address)
- Hometown and home state
- Telephone listing
- Dates of Attendance
- Major field of study
- Classification
- Degrees and awards received
- Photograph
- Date and place of birth
- Participation in officially recognized activities and sports
- Height and weight of athletic team members
- Most recent previous educational institution attended
Enrollment Verifications
Enrollment verifications can be obtained from the Registrar. You may call 423-775-7236, come by the office or e-mail registrar@bryan.edu to request enrollment verification. Please supply us with the student name, social security number, semester(s) needed for verification and the address or fax number to which we should send the verification. If applicable, please also reference any policy information we may need to include as identification to your insurance company. We process these requests as quickly as possible; however we ask that you give us 48-hours notice.
VA Benefits
