Besides all the things to do on and around campus, you'll never run out of places to go and things to do. State parks and wilderness areas provide constant opportunities to explore God's creative handiwork. The Tennessee River is just five minutes from campus. And Less than 40 minutes from campus is Chattanooga—the regional center for art, culture, entertainment, and outdoor activities. Chattanooga has tons to do—parks, the aquarium, great restaurants, Urban Rock climbing center, Lookout Mountain, the walking bridge...and that's only the beginning.

Pocket Wilderness is a favorite spot for students to get away, reflect, and take in some of the area's natural beauty.

Day/Weekend Trips

There are all kinds of options for road trips. Knoxville, Atlanta, Nashville, and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge are all within 2 1/2 hours of campus. Check out these visitor bureau websites for ideas for each area:

Local Restaurants

Dayton is home to some great restaurants. From local places like The "World Famous" Heartland Grill to the 24-hour student favorite Bimbo's, there is always something to cure your craving.
Chattanooga has nearly every type of place to eat. Some are amazing local restaurants that you will find nowhere else. Trip Advisor lists over 500, so you might be interested in checking out the long list at tripadvisor.com.

Open 24 hours, free wi-fi, and good coffee. Bimbos gets two thumbs up and a high five.

Pizza at Lupi's on Broad in Chattanooga always makes for a great night out.
