Department of Languages and Linguistics
The Department of Languages and Linguistics provideds students with coursework in ancient and modern languages as well as experiences in the scientific analysis of language to fulfill general education requirements; support other majors, minors, and concentrations; and provide programs that meet the professional and educational needs of graduates.
The Department of Languages and Linguistics is new at Bryan College. It is designed to provide students with the coursework and experiences in Greek, Spanish, French, and Linguistics that fulfill the requirements of the general education program and support the various major and minor programs of the college.
We offer a major in Spanish, while other majors are being planned. We offer minors in French, Spanish, Linguistics, and Greek.
Teacher licensure (K-12 certification) in Spanish is available beginning in the fall of 2006.
