Since 2010, Worldview Formation has conduct on-campus discussions to engage our students on relevant issues of faith and culture. These informal and formal discussions draw a large portion of the student body into worldview related topics throughout their time at Bryan College.
In addition to our popular Couch and Coffee and Conversation, we also sponsor a variety of other events on campus that range from art shows to food drives. All these events are point toward a holistic understanding of a life driven by a Christian Worldview.
The Couch is panel-based conversations that consistently includes both Bryan College faculty and visiting scholars and practitioners. Couch discussions have included such topics as homosexuality, doubt, culture wars, and denominational differences. These events are a safe place for students to engage in meaningful topics that they want to learn more about.
Coffee and Conversation
Coffee and Conversation events are a collaborative effort between the Department of Campus Worship and the Office of Worldview Formation. The events provide students with a more intimate interaction with guest speakers in addition to their presentation in chapel. These events allow students to dig deeper into the content that was covered by the speaker in chapel and glean from some amazing minds that we have on our campus.
The Christian Worldview informs and directs the liberal arts foundation at Bryan College. Each academic department integrates the Christian Worldview into their discipline to show how faith relates to every aspect of life. Every student at Bryan is enrolled in both an introductory and a senior-level Worldview course to launch them into a healthy post-college life. These courses touch on major life issues that these young men and women will face as they progress through life.
