Web Accessibility

We Value Digital Inclusion

This web accessibility statement is for: bryan.edu

In our effort to provide an accessible and optimized user experience for all site visitors, Bryan College takes careful measure to ensure an excellent user experience, regardless of the assistive technology being used to access this site or the specific abilities of those individuals seeking access to this site.

The bryan.edu website is monitored and tested regularly using Level Access Web Accessibility tools. As issues of accessibility are identified, results of automated and manual testing are managed through the Level Access platform. As new solutions are discovered to improve the user experience, remediation is tracked through the Level Access system and modifications are implemented the website to improve the user experience.

The bryan.edu website also features the UserWay Accessibility Widget, providing user-enabled accommodations for common disability profiles.

Ongoing Efforts to Improve Accessibility

We continue to make changes to improve the user experience for everyone, applying the relevant accessibility standards. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines guidelines for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Wherever possible, Bryan College aims to adhere to level AA of the WCAG 2.1 guidelines, which states that sites should be:

  • Perceivable – Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.
  • Operable – User interface components and navigation must be operable.
  • Understandable – Information and the operation of user interface must be understandable.
  • Robust – Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

In order to ensure accessibility we also:

  • Provide our marketing staff with continual accessibility training.
  • Confirm to formal accessibility quality assurance methods.
