The Bryan College Testing Center is dedicated to serving students, faculty, and the community by providing a space and resources for the proctoring of various exams, located in Library Room 208. Students and faculty can benefit from the in-house Proctoring Service free of charge, while various outside tests (such as CLEP and PRAXIS) can be taken for a minimal fee.

Proctoring Tests - Please take note of the following changes to scheduling and policies concerning the proctoring of student tests.  The proctor's available hours for the Fall 2019 semester are Tuesday mornings from 8 a.m.–Noon, Wednesday evenings from 6–10 p.m., and Friday afternoons from 1–5 p.m. Proctoring is by appointment only, and all tests must be scheduled at least 24 hours ahead of time. The proctor will need to receive all testing materials and proctoring forms by the close of the previous business day. Appointments may be made by contacting the Proctor (Mrs. Linda Hill) at lhill5617@bryan.edu.

Monday: 1–4 p.m.
Tuesday: 8–11 a.m.
Wednesday: 6–9 p.m. (By appointment only)
Thursday: 1–4 p.m.

NOTE: CLEP, Praxis, and ACT Residual exams are by appointment only and can, potentially be scheduled during the Summer, as well as during the Spring and Fall terms. Please see academic adviser before registering for a CLEP test.


CLEP is a 90-minute computer-based exam. On test day, a total of two hours will be required for the exam administration and registration process. A $30 non-refundable registration fee, payable by check (to Bryan) or cash is required on the day that you take your CLEP exam.

TEST DATES: CLEP exams will be administered by appointment only and are administered in the Proctoring Office.


  1. Create your account with CLEP using the following link: Account Signup.
  2. Once you have created your account and paid the fee, please email proctoring@bryan.edu to schedule your test. You must have a voucher number from CLEP in order to schedule your test.
  3. You must have the following items with you on the day of the test:
    • $30 non-refundable registration fee, by check or cash (to Bryan).
    • Picture identification.
    • Printed CLEP ticket.

TEST RESULTS: At the completion of the test, you will receive a copy of your exam results (unless you are taking an essay exam). An official score will be mailed to the institution that you designated within 10 days of the test administration.

General Testing Requirements

Students are expected to take responsibility for the scheduling of their own exams.

  • Students: Bryan ID
  • Non-Students: Driver’s License
  • Cash or Check for testing fees (for CLEP and ACT Residual).

What is Prohibited

  • Cell phones
  • Alarm watches
  • Photographic or copying devices
  • Hats, scarves, etc.
  • Hoodies
  • Listening devices such as radios, media players with headphones, or recorders
  • Food
  • Drinks
  • Children
  • Visitors
  • Notes (unless otherwise specified by the instructor)
