The Education Department’s mission flows directly from the college’s mission and is “to train students in content and pedagogy in the context of a Christian worldview.” The focus of the Education Department is centered around its departmental objectives and the core values “Learn, Teach, Lead.” The heart of the teacher education program is to prepare and equip students to use their degree in education and calling to serve whether in public or private education or in the mission field.

Students who complete our program successfully, including passing the appropriate Praxis II exams, receive a Tennessee teaching license and a professional-level teaching certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International. Most of our programs are fulfilled in conjunction with a major from the respective department.
