The M.Ed. in Christian School Administration prepares participants to effectively lead schools toward higher levels of excellence. Christian school principals are responsible for leading their schools in three distinct areas: academics, fiscal resources, and spiritual growth. With these three areas in mind, the curriculum for this program will develop the participant’s skills in instructional leadership, business management, and spiritual development. Some specific courses that participants in this program will take include topics in curriculum development, best practices in teaching and learning, assessment of student learning, philosophical foundations of education, how to develop teachers as leaders, school culture and climate, business management, human resource management, school law, and Christian worldview.
This program is designed for current Christian school principals/leaders, as well as Christian school teachers who may aspire to eventually obtain a position as a school administrator. The online format provides the flexibility to continue working full-time while earning your degree. Successful completion of the specialization in Christian School Administration leads to all-levels principal certification through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
