Health Science (B.S.)

Our Health Science degree lays the foundation for a career in healthcare.

Bryan College’s Health Science program is designed for students interested in pursuing studies in nursing or other clinical fields. Entry into most nursing and/or allied health programs (e.g., dental assistant, dental hygiene, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapy assistant, radiation technology, veterinary technician) is very competitive, so this curriculum provides a solid foundation in Biology, Physiology, Nutrition, and Chemistry that will help you stand out.

Our Health Science major (regular or dual-degree track) provides the prerequisite coursework for most nursing and/or allied health programs, with the regular track allowing sufficient elective hours for a minor or double major.

Dual-Degree Track

Although the pre-nursing curriculum will prepare you for success in any clinical nursing program, Bryan College has established a relationship with Union University School of Nursing. Students who successfully complete the dual-degree program will graduate with a B.S. from Bryan in Health Science and a B.S.N. from Union. Dual-degree students typically spend their first three years at Bryan, apply to Union during their junior year, and then spend their fourth year in Union's accelerated nursing (BSN-A) program.
