Theatre (B.S.)

Overview

Our Theatre major develops your knowledge in acting, directing, dramatic literary analysis and criticism, costume, makeup, stagecraft, and many other areas of theatrical production. This degree trains you to use the arts to make a difference in today’s world. Bryan College can help give you a spiritual foundation on which to build your artistic career, equipping you to make an even greater impact on an area of the arts that often lacks the influence of Christian forgiveness and love.

Benefits of this Path

As a Theatre major at a smaller school, you will get far more firsthand experience with productions, whether that means being cast in several roles as an actor or being able to work as an assistant director, costumer, or designer for a show. The main stage Hilltop Players productions we select at Bryan offer you the opportunity to get involved and grow as an artist in a way that larger programs are simply unable to provide. Bryan Theatre majors also develop close-knit relationships with other theatre students as well as with faculty. Simply put, Bryan Theatre is a family, which is something that can be difficult to find in larger Theatre programs.
