Christian Studies

Our Christian Studies BA program is designed to prepare you for a variety of service opportunities in the local church or parachurch ministries.

The Christian Studies Department offers a BA in Christian Studies with three options: Bible, Christian Ministry, and Philosophy & Culture. This BA is a 36 hour major designed to give a student a broad-based, general college education with a general concentration in one of three areas of Christian Studies. All Christian Studies students share the same curriculum for the first year, and all BA students in Christian Studies have a single Senior Seminar which is jointly led by professors from each respective option.

Our faculty are committed to one-on-one discipleship and a quality of education that will lead themselves and their students to a greater love for God and for other people.

This option is designed to give students a working knowledge of the language, history, literature, and theology of the Old and New Testaments.

Christian Ministry

This option is designed for those students who desire to serve within the local church or parachurch organization that requires a broader and more general focus of ministry preparation.

Philosophy & Culture

This option is a broad-based program incorporating multiple departments, including philosophy, languages, theology, English, history, and literature so that a student gets a wide-ranging exposure to both secular and Christian thought in these arenas.
