Communication Studies

Our Communication Studies major equips you to bring a biblical worldview to the marketplace of ideas.

A biblical worldview is the basis of the Communication Studies major at Bryan College, since without such a worldview, there would be no freedom to speak, write, debate, and engage the culture and media. Undergirded by this worldview, this major blends instruction in the theoretical, rhetorical, and historical aspects of communication with an introduction to the practical aspects of the field. The program will inform, inspire, and equip you to effectively and strategically communicate the truth and transforming power of Christ through traditional means, as well as the internet — including social media.

Tailor your program to fit your personal career goals.

Our 36-hour Communication Studies program will prepare you for graduate studies or an entry-level position in communication, digital media, or the career path of your choice. The Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication is perfect if you are looking for a general Communication degree, more freedom with electives, are pursuing a double major or planning to attend graduate school.
