Majors

History

Our History degree helps you make sense of the past, present, and future.

While the History major at Bryan College is rooted in a biblical worldview, our curriculum goes beyond studying only Christian subjects. Inspired by well-known historian Mark Noll, we will prepare you to explore the past like other Christian historians who can do their “work with confidence because they believe that the world will make sense, and that God has made it possible for the human mind to understand the world.”

You will be encouraged to freely exchange ideas with your professors and peers as you seek to find your historical voice and, in the process, observe how relationships with Christ throughout history have driven individuals to change the course of their lives.
