How to Establish an Endowed Scholarship
There are three steps to establishing an endowed scholarship:
- Name the scholarship.
- Outline the conditions that will govern awarding the scholarship.
- Examples: student may have a suggested major, have a minimum grade point average, or come from a specific geographic area. The Advancement staff is available to help you develop the criteria for your scholarship.
- Contribute a minimum of $25,000 to the Bryan College endowment fund in the form of cash, securities, or a pledge.
The Bryan College Board of Trustees will invest your scholarship money in a diverse investment portfolio. The Financial Aid Committee will distribute awards totaling 3% of the scholarship’s value to qualifying students based on your established criteria. Your scholarship fund can be increased through additional contributions from any source at any time.
