Athletes Recognize Volunteer Scotty Morrow for 43 Years of Service

Scotty Marrow

Recently Bryan College Athletes came together to recognize Scotty Morrow, a volunteer who's been helping Bryan College Athletics since 1979!

Bryan College Athletes presented gifts, donations, and sincere thanks to Scotty at a recent Girls Basketball game. Joslynn Mendoza, a Bryan College Volleyball player and senior had this to say about Scotty’s contributions to Bryan College Athletics over the years.

“We want to take the time to recognize someone who has contributed a lot to Bryan Athletics. Scotty Morrow has been helping with Bryan Athletics programs for 43 years and he is hands down Bryan’s #1 supporter. He’s the first to grab a bat, wipe the floor and he is always the first person to give you a high five or fist bump whenever he sees you. He is a joy to have around at every game and will do anything for Bryan’s programs. Scotty exemplifies what it means to be selfless and kind. Bryan College is truly blessed to have him be a part of all of our teams. Galatians 5:22 says, ‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness’ and we as a program believe that Scotty represents all of these things. No gift can repay Scotty for all he has done for Bryan, but he deserves recognition and thanks for his faithfulness to this school. We called all Bryan College students, fans, alumni, staff, friends, and family to make donations to get Scotty a gift and we raised over $1,400. With those generous donations, we are presenting him with a poster signed by students, faculty, staff, and family, a custom crewneck with his name on the back, a pair of Champion shoes, and a pair of Adidas shoes. We are also going to be getting him a custom Bryan letterman jacket and banner that we will display in the gym, and the rest of the money will be going directly to Scotty. This is just a small gesture to show Scotty that his love for all of us doesn’t go unnoticed and that we appreciate all he does. Thank you to everyone who shared, donated, and even prayed over this, and thanks to Scotty, for being our #1 supporter, and for being the kind-hearted man that many people will look up to for many generations to come.”
