Bryan College Presents Dr. Ben Carson at the Bryan Opportunity Scholarship Program Dinner

Dr. Ben Carson

On April 10, Bryan College will host its annual Bryan Opportunity Scholarship Program Dinner. This year’s event will take place at 6:30 pm, following doors opening at 6 pm. The dinner and program are complimentary for attendees, but registration by April 3 is required to attend. Guests will be encouraged to contribute to the Bryan Opportunity Scholarship Program during the evening.

The 2025 dinner will feature Dr. Ben Carson, renowned neurosurgeon, author, and former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Carson is celebrated for his groundbreaking work in pediatric neurosurgery, including the first successful separation of conjoined twins. Born in Detroit, Dr. Carson was raised by a single mother with a third-grade education who instilled in him a love for reading and education despite significant challenges. He went on to graduate from Yale University and earned his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School. His journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of the world’s leading neurosurgeons and a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient is a testament to perseverance and faith.

Dr. Carson is also the founder of the Carson Scholars Fund, which has awarded over 11,000 scholarships and established hundreds of reading rooms nationwide to promote literacy and academic achievement.

Bryan College is honored to host Dr. Carson and looks forward to an inspiring evening celebrating the impact of the Bryan Opportunity Scholarship Program. To register for the event, become a sponsor, or learn more, please visit bryan.edu/dinner.
