Bryan College Reaffirmed by SACSCOC at Annual Meeting

SACSCOC Stamp of Accreditation

Bryan College is excited to announce its reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), confirmed during the recent 2024 annual meeting. This reaffirmation underscores the college’s commitment to its mission of Educating students to become servants of Christ to make a difference in today’s world.

Established in 1930, Bryan College is a regionally accredited Christian liberal arts institution offering over 50 fields of study at the Associate, Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate levels, as well as professional certificates. The college’s motto, “Christ Above All,” reflects the integration of faith and learning.

Bryan College equips students with valuable knowledge, practical skills, and a foundation in ethical leadership, significantly enhancing their career prospects and contributing to their long-term professional success.

A key factor in this achievement was the exemplary leadership of Dr. Katy Saynes and Dr. David Calland, along with the vital efforts of the Institutional Effectiveness (IE) team, led by Dr. Sam Youngs and Dr. Daniel Gates. Their dedication to continuous quality improvement was instrumental in the accreditation process.

Dr. Sam Youngs, Dean and SACSCOC Accreditation Liaison, stated, “The decennial reaffirmation process with SACSCOC is one of the most involved, detailed, and labor-intensive efforts in higher education. Over three years, our institution engaged nearly all campus groups to make improvements, write reports, and compile documentation demonstrating our institutional excellence. During this time, four different task forces were active, over 500 pages of narrative were produced, and more than 1,000 pieces of evidentiary documentation were collected and submitted. Achieving full reaffirmation is a tremendous testament to Bryan College’s quality, dedication, and service to our students.”
