Bryan College to Host ACSD Southeast TN Regional Conference: Wisdom in Leadership

Bryan College is excited to announce that we will be hosting the upcoming ACSD Southeast Tennessee Regional Conference, Wisdom in Leadership, on Friday, March 28, 2025. This exciting event is a prime opportunity for student development professionals from across the southeast region to gather, grow, and connect. With a full day of engaging sessions and inspiring speakers, attendees will leave encouraged and equipped to continue their impactful work in Christian higher education.

A Day of Connection and Growth
The conference offers a rich schedule designed to foster both professional development and meaningful fellowship. The day begins with registration and mingling at 9:15 AM, followed by a warm welcome, devotion, and a special video message from ACSD President Steve Ivester. Attendees will then hear from keynote speaker Dr. Peter Held, whose extensive experience in Christian education and leadership will provide valuable insights for today’s student development professionals.

The conference also includes breakout sessions tailored to address the diverse challenges and opportunities faced by student development teams. With additional breakout sessions in the afternoon and a closing plenary by Dr. Held, the day promises to be both informative and inspiring. Plus, attendees will enjoy a complimentary lunch as part of their registration.

Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Dr. Peter Held
Bryan College is especially honored to welcome Dr. Peter Held as the conference’s keynote speaker. Dr. Held’s career spans decades of service in roles such as Vice President for Student Life at Bryan College, Dean of Students, and Senior Fellow for Worldview Studies. His contributions to the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) have had a lasting impact on the field of Christian higher education. Now retired in Boone, NC, Dr. Held enjoys football, chess, and thoughtful conversations over coffee. His wisdom and experience are sure to leave a lasting impression on all who attend.
