Bryan College Welcomes Two New Faculty Members to Business Department
Bryan College is excited to welcome two new faculty members to its Business Department for the 2026–2027 academic year. Nicki Chitwood and Abigail Brown will join the department this August. They bring professional experience and a passion for preparing students for successful careers in business.
Nicki Chitwood will serve as an Instructor of Business. She is pursuing a doctorate in Strategic Leadership at Liberty University. She also earned a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Norwich University and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Before joining Bryan College, Chitwood built a career in corporate leadership across several industries. She also serves as an officer in the Army Reserves. Her experience in leadership, project management, and organizational strategy will help students connect classroom concepts with real-world business practices.
Abigail Brown joins Bryan College as an Instructor of Marketing. She earned her Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Bryan College. Her professional background includes digital marketing, content strategy, curriculum development, and nonprofit leadership.
Brown has worked with mission-driven organizations throughout her career. She also consults with small businesses and nonprofit organizations. She looks forward to helping students develop practical marketing skills while applying business principles through a Christian worldview.
“Abigail looks forward to returning to the classroom as a professor and integrating her experience as a marketer and supporting not-for-profits, while Nicki looks forward to sharing her experience in industry as a manager and service as an officer in the Reserves with students,” said Dr. Dan Gates, Chair of the Business Department. “We are excited to welcome them to the Business Department this fall.”
The Bryan College Business Department prepares students for careers in business, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, and related fields. Faculty members combine academic knowledge with real-world experience. Students gain practical skills while learning to lead with integrity and a biblical worldview.
The addition of Chitwood and Brown reflects Bryan College’s commitment to providing career-focused business education. Their experience will help students grow as leaders and professionals.
