Orientation is a way to meet your new classmates and get to know Bryan before the school year starts. Everything you need to know about campus life you will find out during this time. Plus, it’s a lot of fun! Learn more about these action-packed first days.
Orientation is designed to prepare you for college life at Bryan before classes begin! You’ll meet your classmates and student leaders, connect with Bryan’s staff and faculty and learn about all the resources available to you at Bryan. Our goal with Orientation is to put you in the best position to succeed and grow through your college years, academically, personally, spiritually, and professionally!

8:00 am – 12:00 noon *Resident Student Check In Office of Student Life
Students will check in with the Office of Student Life alongside Admissions. Once all required offices have been cleared, they will recieve their room key and are welcome to begin moving in.

Students must check in with Admissions and clear all offices before heading to their dorm to receive their key and move in
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM Lunch Served Cafeteria
Parents may purchase a lunch ticket during check-in.
1:30 PM *Welcome Session Rudd Auditorium
Official welcome and orientation kickoff for all new students and families.
1:50 PM Information Fair & Snowcones Rudd Lawn
Legacy photo and new student photos will be taken during this time.
2:40 PM *Parent Session & Student Orientation Group Activity Various Locations
Parents receive Bibles for students while students meet with orientation groups.
3:10 PM *Closing Session & Worship Rudd Auditorium
Final encouragement, worship, and community gathering before dismissal.
3:30 PM Final Goodbyes Campus Wide
Families depart and students transition into Welcome Week activities.
8:00 PM Movie Night The Overlook
First official Welcome Week event for new students.

A shortened version of Bryan College chapel designed to introduce students to campus spiritual life
10:00 AM *Mock Class Experience Various Classrooms
Peer Mentors lead students through a mock class experience to prepare them for the first day of classes. Department Head introductions will take place during this time.
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM *Lunch & Final Detail Cafeteria
Students gather together for lunch while Orientation Leaders and staff review final reminders and details for the week.
12:00 NOON Class Photo
1:00 PM *Peer Mentor Afternoon Activities Various Locations
Students participate in a fun afternoon outing with Peer Mentors. Activity options may include Pocket Wilderness, thrifting, paddle boarding, boat rentals, or the aquarium.
3:30 PM – 4:00 PM International Student Meeting Rhea County Room
International Students are invited to connect and meet Yuri Lopez.
4:00 PM – 4:30 PM *Dorm Meetings (all new students) Residence Halls
Students gather back together before evening activities begin.
4:30 PM – 6:00 PM Advising Meetings (By Appointment) ARC
Students meet with advisors as needed to finalize schedules and ask academic questions.
5:00 PM – 6:00 PM Dinner Cafeteria
Dinner served for all students.

Official campus-wide welcome gathering to kick off the academic year together.

| New students will gather with their Peer Mentors and Orientation Leaders before heading out across campus and the local community to serve Bryan staff, faculty, and community partners. This is a meaningful opportunity to begin the year by living out Bryan’s mission of becoming servants of Christ who make a difference in the world. | ||

| All students, staff, faculty, and families are invited to celebrate the official kickoff of the school year! Join us in the Triangle for lunch, lawn games, water slides, music, and opportunities to connect with the Bryan community before classes begin. | ||
| 5:00 PM | Riverfront Nights | Downtown Chattanooga |
| Students will have the opportunity to sign up to attend Riverfront Nights in downtown Chattanooga for an evening of outdoor live music, community, and local food trucks. Transportation and admission are provided free of charge. Students should plan to bring money for dinner or snacks from local vendors. Transportation is limited, first come first serve. | ||
