For High School Students
October 27, 2018
The Bryan Performing Arts Workshop and Festival is a one-day event on a Saturday that aims to bring talented young artists from East Tennessee and nearby areas together. The workshop includes specialty tracks for instrumental, piano, theatre, and vocal as well as a large choral ensemble, a choice of music or theatre elective classes, and insight from current collegiate music/theatre majors. The afternoon finishes with a performance in Brock Hall which all parents and friends are invited to attend. All participants and families are then encouraged to attend the Hilltop Players Fall Show presented upstairs in Rudd Auditorium at 7:30 pm. Students will receive a complimentary ticket and guests can purchase discounted tickets at the morning check-in. Any high school student with an interest in the performing arts is welcome to apply.
Priority deadline is September 24. Other applicants may be accepted after the deadline as space permits until October 15. You will receive emails regarding acceptance and music/acting scripts soon after. It is important for you to get these materials in advance of the workshop.
A fee of $35 for the workshop includes the cost of music, activities, lunch for the day, admission to the evening theatre show, and a t-shirt and is due by mail after you receive your acceptance letter.
