The Dayton Rotary Club recently awarded two $1,500 scholarships to incoming freshmen at Bryan College, honoring students from the greater Dayton/Rhea County community who demonstrate strong academic achievement and leadership potential.

Meet the 2025 Rotary Scholarship Recipients

This year’s Rotary Scholarship recipients are Emmaleigh Noles, an Engineering–Mechanical major, and Gray Standifer, an Engineering–Computing major.

Emmaleigh Noles: Engineering with a Biomedical Focus

Scholarship recipient Emmaleigh Noles shared her appreciation during the annual Rotary Scholarship/Christmas Luncheon held on the Bryan College campus. Noles spoke about her academic journey, highlighting the impact of Bryan College’s integration of rigorous engineering coursework with a biblical worldview. She plans to pursue advanced studies in biomedical engineering with a focus on prosthetics and orthotics.

Gray Standifer: Combining Technology and Service

Gray Standifer, a computer engineering student, is pursuing a career in forensic computer analysis, combining his passion for technology, problem-solving, and service. He has been actively involved in Bryan College’s Robotics Club, where he has gained hands-on experience in coding, building, and troubleshooting while developing teamwork and leadership skills. Standifer expressed gratitude for the encouragement he has received from his church family, friends, and the Dayton Rotary Club as he works toward his professional goals.

The scholarships were presented by Rotary Club President Cathy Swafford at the luncheon, reflecting the Dayton Rotary Club’s continued commitment to supporting local students and investing in higher education within the community.
