Overview

Secondary Licensure is a complete English major offered in cooperation with the Department of Education which prepares students for a career in teaching.

An English degree from Bryan College equips students to serve Christ in today’s world by thinking critically, expressing themselves clearly, and learning to understand others graciously. Professors teach students how to handle texts responsibly by searching for the author’s intended meaning. Students will learn how to read literature through the lens of Scripture and will be prepared for the rigors of graduate work.
