Requirements

Twenty-two hours are required for a minor in Exercise and Health Science:

  • EHS111 Concepts of Physical Fitness (2 hours)
  • EHS149 Foundations of Physical Education & Sport (3 hours)
  • EHS221 Safety Education & First Aid (2 hours)
  • EHS331 or 332 Teaching Sports (3 hours)
  • EHS334 Adapted Physical Education (3 hours)
  • EHS341 Physiology of Exercise* (3 hours)
  • EHS342 Structural Kinesiology* (3 hours)
  • EHS420 Administration & Supervision of Physical Education and Sport Programs (3 hours)

*Has prerequisite of BIO210 or BIO221.

Benefits of this Path

A minor in Exercise and Health Science gives students an basic foundation of the fitness and athletics fields while still allowing them to pursue a baccalaureate degree in another discipline.
