Admissions Requirements

Initial Admissions Requirements for Licensure Options:

  • Online application
  • Official Transcripts
    • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
    • An undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher is preferred, but all interested in becoming a teacher are encouraged to apply.
  • Photo ID
  • Resume
  • If pursuing Job-Embedded:
    • Submit an Intent to Hire letter showing you have been or will be hired as the teacher of record by a school district within Tennessee.
    • Have a major listed on your official transcript in the content area you want to teach or a passing score on the Praxis Content exam.
