Music (B.S.) — Musical Theatre Option

Overview

In addition to music courses, vocal and acting training, and theatre courses, you will also delve into the technicalities of amateur, regional, and professional theatre operation through direction, support staff or administration.

All Music students are required to audition for entry into the program. During their time at Bryan, students will receive private lessons for their instrument. Students are also required to participate in a certain number of ensemble performances.

Benefits of this Path

As a Musical Theatre major at Bryan, you will gain valuable experience by exhibiting your skills both in the classroom and on the stage. Students are thoroughly trained in both the theoretical and practical aspects of drama and music–within the context of a biblical worldview– in order to use their talents for performing and teaching. A degree in Musical Theatre provides well-rounded, professional preparation for a career in musical theatre or a related vocation, as well as instruction for life-long learning experiences in music.
