Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Student Engagement at Bryan College is responsible for fostering a vibrant campus life by developing a comprehensive intramural sports program and overseeing student clubs and organizations. This position supports student wellness, promotes community, and creates diverse engagement opportunities. The role also plays a key part in major campus events, such as New Student Orientation, and serves as a mentor to student leaders in clubs, organizations, and the Student Government Association (SGA). This position is paid for over 10 months, but benefits are available for 12 months if the employee opts in.

Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience Required
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
- Ability to work effectively with students of all cultural backgrounds.
- Attentiveness to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple requests and handle them efficiently and timely.
- Ability to understand and abide by federal and college guidelines regarding student confidentiality requirements.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Computer experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), databases, and spreadsheets.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Passion for student involvement, wellness, and community-building.

Duties
- Intramural Sports Program Development: Develop and manage a comprehensive recreational sports program that includes leagues, tournaments, and special events while promoting broad participation and community building through various traditional and emerging sports activities.
- Student Clubs and Organizations Oversight: Provide strategic leadership and administrative support across academic, student-interest, and sponsored clubs, ensuring appropriate funding, resources, and alignment with the college mission while managing clubs.
- Support for Campus Events: Collaborate with the Director of Student Engagement to plan and execute large-scale campus activities that integrate intramural sports and student clubs into the broader student engagement strategy.
- New Student Orientation: Facilitate incoming students’ integration into campus life by introducing them to intramural sports and club opportunities during orientation, helping them connect with campus activities from day one.
Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and develop student leaders in intramural sports, clubs, and SGA while providing opportunities for personal growth and ensuring activities align with Bryan College’s Christ-centered mission.
