General Maintenance and HVAC

Position Summary

The General Maintenance and HVAC performs general campus facilities maintenance upkeep and repair work.  This work includes the implementation and compliance with appropriate procedures and policy.

Reports to: Director of Physical Plant

Duties

• Performs general facilities maintenance and repair work, and complies with corresponding procedures. Work may involve specialty trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, elevator and pool maintenance, and keys and locks installation and repair.
• Performs campus preventative maintenance work.
• Augments other Physical Plant employees during projects and preparations for special events.
• Directly supervises part time student workers.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
