Primarily responsible for the library’s outreach services including events, marketing efforts, and outreach to all Bryan Online students. This is a 12-month full-time exempt administrative faculty position. Some evening/weekend work hours may be required.
Reports to: Director of Library Services
Education Required
The minimum education required for this position is a Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS), but will consider someone who will commit to working toward earning this degree while working in this position.
Experience Required
- Two to four years of related experience preferred
- LibGuides experience preferred
- Basic HTML and CSS knowledge preferred
Duties
- Acts as library liaison to Bryan Online
- Plans and executes library services marketing efforts, including social media
- Coordinates library web services and serves as library webmaster
- Manages/Edits library digital signage
- Edits library newsletter
- Oversees circulation desk and student workers during the day
- Collaborates with Research Literacy Librarian on creating and presenting library sessions in online and in-person courses
- Creates and updates online tutorials and information literacy instruction modules
- Plans and coordinates special programs, events, presentations, and displays
- Plans and executes annual library services focus group sessions
- Plans and executes library book sales (events, ongoing, and online)
- Coordinates ILL and Online checkout by mail operations
- Covers general reference and service desk duties during the specified day and/or evening hours
- Documents and reports statistics and assessment measures
- Outreach Services policy/procedure development, maintenance & implementation
- Gives recommendations for additions to the library’s collections
- Serves on the Library and Learning Facilities Committee
- Other duties as assigned
