Position Summary

As an Admissions Staff member, the Summer Institute Program Coordinator/Dual Enrollment Specialist serves the college by providing focused leadership on facilitating growth in key programs such as the Summer Institute and Dual Enrollment.

Reporting to the Director of Dual Enrollment, the responsibilities of the Summer Institute Program Coordinator/Dual Enrollment Specialist include developing, leading, coordinating, and expanding the Summer Institute and Dual Enrollment initiatives. The Summer Institute Program Coordinator/Dual Enrollment Specialist should work closely with the Admissions team to support recruitment and development efforts. In addition, the Summer Institute Program Coordinator/Dual Enrollment Specialist will work closely with the appropriate Student Life staff members for the Summer Institute.

The success of this position can be measured through increased partner schools and churches, retention of partner schools, and increased opportunities for high school students to experience Bryan. Additional outcomes will include developing a recruitment pipeline for Summer Institute students to the Dual Enrollment and BCR/BCO programs.

  • Summer Institute

This position provides focused leadership to the Summer Institute by cultivating an excellent experience for students and continuing the expansion of the program. The Summer Institute is the first possible front door for high school students to experience Bryan College.

  • Manage registrations of students and program communication
  • Oversee recruitment for the entire program
  • Serves as on-call staff during the week of Summer Institute
  • Plan and facilitate Summer Institution orientation and week activities and help cultivate the experience for SI students.
  • Oversee the hiring of counselors and worship band for the Summer Institute
  • Supervise the program staff
  • Oversee daily operations that pertain to the Summer Institute
  • Utilize the campus CRM program to maintain records
  • Maintain marketing needs
    • Create the marketing plans
    • Create all content (emails and social media posts)
    • Create graphics
    • Create all print materials
    • Design all merchandise
    • Create program pipelines to support student recruitment
  • Recruitment & Events
    • Partner with the Admissions department to connect and maintain relationships with Private Christian Schools and Homeschool groups
    • Visit DE partner sites to maintain relationships
    • Support recruitment events by representing DE and the Summer Institute
  • Dual Enrollment
    • Grow dual enrollment by increasing applications, approvals registrations, and matriculation
    • Achieve enrollment and application goals by supporting the Director
    • Ensure excellent student service and care from inquiry to registration
    • Advise students and parents on policies, grants, deadlines
    • Regularly update dual enrollment information across platforms
    • Streamline processes with Element, CAMS, and other college systems
    • Assist with office operations and DE communications
    • Recruit new partnerships and support existing ones
    • Retain students by assisting with issues. Manage DE email and travel to DE events
    • Process and document online applications and registrations in Element/CAMS (Student database), ensuring that all Dual Enrollment requirements are met at application acceptance and course registration process, which includes verification of transcripts, transfer credits, test scores, and GPA scores.
    • Work in unity with the Business office, Office of the Registrar, and Financial Aid office on student records.
    • Create/Maintain the yearly Dual Enrollment partnerships school contracts.
  • Directly supervises student leaders, Summer Institute staff
