Giving Tuesday

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good (GivingTuesday.org About page). The day is an opportunity for Bryan alumni, faculty/staff, and friends of the school to play a part in displaying Christ Above All by supporting our students.

When is Giving Tuesday?

Every year, Giving Tuesday is held on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year, Giving Tuesday falls on November 29.

Where does the money go?

All funds raised during Giving Tuesday go toward the Bryan Scholarship Fund, which directly supports Bryan students.

Why is Giving Tuesday important?

95% of our students receive institutional scholarship funds in order to attend Bryan College. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to give back and invest in the next generation.

How do I participate?

  1. Pray. Pray for our students as they learn and grow and for our faculty and staff as they engage with students academically, relationally, and spiritually.
  2. Send encouragement. Know a Bryan College student or employee? Send them a note of encouragement!
  3. Give. Whether you can give $10 or $10,000, your gift helps build generations of sweet memories.
