Join Us in Congratulating Nick Pacurari
Nick brings a variety of experiences to his new role and is excited to lead the Student Life department in its efforts to centralize around Gospel transformation, restorative actions, and meaningful engagement. He believes that the Gospel of Jesus and his educational experience at Bryan have profoundly transformed him and desires to provide this same experience for all Bryan College students.
Nick is deeply appreciative of the mentorship he received from his predecessor, Tim Hostetler, who was recently named Senior Vice President of Campus Operations & Special Projects:
“Tim is an incredibly gracious leader who has always been available to coach and develop me. To succeed in this new role, I will continue to draw upon Tim’s extensive experience and wisdom in executive leadership. Bryan’s Student Life team has incredible leaders who are eager to serve our students!”
In 2011, Nick graduated from Bryan with a B.A. in Christian Ministry. He went on to receive his M.A. in Christian Education, with an emphasis in discipleship and church administration from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014. In 2016, he completed a year-long ministry residency program in New Orleans. He is currently working on his Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Student Personnel Services from the University of the Cumberlands.
Nick is grateful for his wife, Rachel, who continues to support and challenge him:
“When I started dating Rachel in 2007, she told me that she was not dating me for who I was but for who she believed I could be. Her belief in me has been the driving factor that has always pushed me to dream bigger and to expect more from myself. She is my best friend and biggest supporter!”
The couple has been married since 2012 after they both graduated from Bryan. They returned to Bryan in August of 2016, with Nick working as the Resident Director of Woodlee-Ewing dormitory, and Rachel serving as a counselor.
Since 2019, Nick has served as the Director of Residence Life and Student Engagement at Bryan. Rachel now serves as the Director of Counseling Services and earned her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy. She recently became a Licensed Professional Counselor. Nick is also an Ordained Minister and lay pastor/elder at Sojourn Community Church of Chattanooga. Nick and Rachel have thoroughly enjoyed serving students together during their time at Bryan. They are both certified facilitators through Prepare/Enrich, and conducting pre-marital counseling for Bryan students has been a ministry they’ve enjoyed together. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with their two children, Lia and Nico, and traveling and exploring new places together as a family.
