Under the direction of the Residence Life Staff, residence hall life plays a major role in the educational process. Each student is challenged to increase social skills, make new and lasting relationships, examine new ideas, learn new skills, and adjust to new and different situations and people.
Nick Pacurari earned a B.A. in Christian Ministry from Bryan in 2011 and his M.A. in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014. In addition, he completed a year-long ministry residency program at Vintage Church of New Orleans.
While in seminary, Nick managed a Chick-fil-A and served as a volunteer staff member of a church plant. Prior to returning to work at Bryan, Nick worked as the Operations Director at Vintage Church. He served as the RD of Woodlee for several years prior to his current position. Currently, Nick serves as the Director of Residence Life and Student Engagement overseeing all of campus life for residential students. He is extremely passionate about developing others into their full potential as sons and daughters of Christ.
In his spare time, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel, and his two kiddos, Lia and Nico. They love traveling together as a family and exploring new places. Nick prefers to plan their trips around food and the new restaurants they will get to try!
To’Nesha Allison graduated from Bryan with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications in 2019. During her time here at Bryan, she was a varsity athlete on the Women’s basketball team. She helped lead Bryan’s women’s basketball team to three conference championships and three appearances to the NAIA National Tournament.
After graduating, To’Nesha went back home to Shelbyville, TN, and worked in high school special education as a Teacher Assistant and was an assistant coach for the women’s basketball team. Trusting the Lord's plan, she made her way back to Bryan and is now the Resident Director for Arnold and a graduate assistant for the Marketing department.
To’Nesha’s favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith and not by sight.” She strives to live this out by being obedient to His daily commands and allowing others to see Christ through her.
Kasey is originally from Indiana and graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2017 with a BA in Christian Ministries. After graduating, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia to continue her practical studies of ministry by being a part of the Residency Program and 12Stone Church. During her time there, she served as a Student Ministry Resident Pastor.
Kasey married her husband, David in June 2019. David is also a part of the Bryan community as an Assistant Coach to the Women’s Basketball Team and the First Year Experience Coordinator. The Kalks love date nights in Chattanooga and are dreaming up all the places they want to travel in the near future, as they both have a love for travel and discovering new places. They also enjoy watching and attending any and all athletic events. So you can guarantee on Saturdays in the fall, you will find the Kalks cheering on Ohio State (Go Bucks!) and Notre Dame football!
Stephen was born and raised in Southeast Tennessee. He earned a degree in Integrated Marketing Communication in 2017, and an MBA in Marketing in 2019 both from Bryan College. He's currently the Resident Director for Long Residence Hall and the Assistant Coach for the Men's Soccer team.
In addition to taking every opportunity to jump in a game of pickup basketball or soccer, Stephen loves spending time in the outdoors. It's not rare to see him out on the lake fishing, hiking in the region's mountains, or on vacation in search of a new ski resort.
Jenny is a Dayton local and Bryan College alumna. She was a member of the Lion's very first softball team and earned a BA in Psychology in 2012 and an MS in Psychology from Grand Canyon University in 2015.
She previously worked in high school special education and coached basketball and softball before returning to “The Hill.” Jenny now serves both as a Resident Director and an Adjunct Instructor in the Psychology Department, as she brings her husband Jake and son Marshall with her to be the first family in Robinson Dorm.
Jenny says that a Break for Change trip to Nicaragua during her time at Bryan gave her the travel bug and the Swaffords have since journeyed from coast to coast stopping longest to live in Utah, Florida, and Virginia before returning home to plant roots. When they are not planning their next camping or road trip, you can find them cheering on the Atlanta Braves, kayaking the Chickamauga Lake, or curling up with coffee and a good book.
Josh Watkins lived in Woodlee-Ewing long before he became the Resident Director. His father, Chris Watkins, served in the same position in the early 90s and encouraged Josh to pursue a career at Bryan College. Josh strives to cultivate meaningful relationships with students, plan and execute events with the Residence Life team, and ensure the safety of all students at Bryan College.
Prior to his time at Bryan, Josh filled two roles at North Georgia Technical College. He served most recently as Student Navigator in the Student Affairs Department to increase retention rates and student success. Josh worked as Outreach Coordinator for the Adult Education Department before receiving a job invitation in Student Affairs. He earned a B.A. in Mass Communication from Georgia College & State University. Go Bobcats (and Lions)! Josh loves to spend time with his wife, April, and his two children, Wylee Grace and Neyland. He enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with extended family.
