September 15, 2015 – In less than three weeks Bryan College alumni and their families will flood onto campus for a priceless weekend of fun, fellowship, and festivities for Homecoming 2015 that will stretch from Friday, Oct. 2, through Sunday, Oct. 4.
The weekend will open with a special alumni chapel service in Rudd Auditorium at 10 A.M. on Friday, featuring alumni Jimmy Davis ’90 and Damon Kelly ’90. Later in the day are several opportunities to mingle at various meet and greets for career services, business alumni, and worldview alumni, all leading up to the celebrated yearly Tuscany in the Triangle dinner, to which everyone is welcome. Offered at the same time is the Class of 1990 25th reunion dinner, hosted on the second floor of the library. Friday night also features several alumni sports games (baseball, basketball, rugby), along with a red-carpet premier of 1996 alumnus Walker Haynes’ film “Hamlet’s Ghost” in Rudd.
Saturday promises to be the “mane” event of the weekend, with the Paw Pounder Extreme 5K and 10K and the Paw Pounder Obstacle Runs, along with the anticipated alumni soccer games and the very first meet and greet for students and alumni of the School of Adult and Graduate Studies. The Tailgate in the Triangle lunch will feature friend chicken, bounce houses and activities for the children, a photobooth, and more. A special reception that afternoon will honor Dr. John C. Anderson ‘73H, beloved former professor of Greek, who celebrated his 97th birthday this year.
To close out the weekend alumni and their families are welcome to join in a time of worship Sunday morning, featuring Rev. Christopher E. Burcham ’90 and the Bryan College Worship Team.
“We’re looking forward to an awesome year!” said Alumni Director Paulakay Hall ’84. “The campus spirit is fantastic, and we would like to invite everyone back to reminisce the good old days and experience the very best of Bryan College.”
