Bryan Athletics Hosts Instructional Camps For Men’s Soccer And Softball

The Bryan men’s soccer team is kicking off 2017 with another chance for high school students and above to learn and sharpen skills from a talented collegiate coaching staff.  The camp is set for Jan. 28 at Bryan College and will go from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a cost of $75.

The day will include several training sessions, scrimmaging, and a time for assessment by the coaches. Participants will have the chance to showcase their talents, which could lead to further opportunities that will be discussed in a collegiate soccer recruiting seminar led by the coaches.

Attendees will get to the see what the Lions call home with a full tour of the beautiful campus of Bryan College that also includes a stop for lunch. The athletes will get to experience what it is truly like to be a Bryan Lion.

**ID members must bring their own cleats, shin guards, and training gear. Bryan Soccer will provide water, Gatorade, training equipment, and facilities.

Lions Softball Offer Hitting/Pitching Clinics Jan. 14

An opportunity awaits for current 7th-12th grade softball players as the Bryan College Lions Softball Team hosts winter hitting/pitching clinics on Jan. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the campus of Bryan College. The cost is $50 per session, or you can save by bundling and doing both for $75.

Due to limited space (hitting clinic – 15 attendees, pitching clinic – 8 attendees), sign up now in order to not miss out!

Clinics will be run by Bryan College Coaching Staff, Head Coach, Kayla Watkins, Assistant Coaches, Ted Evans and Amanda Lynn, and former Lipscomb University standout, Kelly Young.

CLINIC SCHEDULE:                                         

8:30-9:00 Check In and Registration for Hitting Clinic
9:00-12:00 HITTING CLINIC (Limited to 15 attendees)
12:00-1:30 Break for Lunch
1:00-1:30 Check In and Registration for Pitching Clinic
1:30-4:30 PITCHING CLINIC** (Limited to 8 attendees)


  • Be prepared for clinic sessions to be run inside or outdoors. This will be weather dependent.  Make sure that you have tennis shoes or turfs for indoor play.
  • Pitchers should bring their own catchers.
  • Registration will take place at the Bryan College Softball Field.  If the event is moved indoors, someone will be at the field to redirect you.
