9 Stops To Make At Bryan College:

stophel

STOP 1: Stophel Welcome Center

  • You’ll both begin and end your tour here at Stophel Welcome Center!
  • This building houses our Admissions, Advancement, and Marketing departments, as well as the Executive Offices and the President of Bryan College.
  • Stophel serves as the primary center for campus leadership and administrative operations.

STOP 2: Rudd Auditorium

  • Chapel services are held here every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, serving as an important part of campus life.
  • Students earn their mandatory Christian Formation Credits (CFCs) through chapel attendance, group devotions, community service, and other faith-based activities across campus.
  • In addition to chapel, the building also hosts most of the Theater and Music classes.
Livesay Learning Center

STOP 3: Livesay Learning Center

  • The Livesay Learning Center spans two floors, offering spaces for study and relaxation.
  • On the first floor, you’ll find half of the library, group study rooms and the cozy Spoede Lounge, which features a faux fireplace, a TV, and a fridge—perfect for commuters. The lounge can also be reserved for movie nights or group activities with friends.
  • The second floor is divided between the Clara Ward School of Nursing and additional library space, including private desks and quiet study areas.
  • The Nursing program prepares students to become skilled, compassionate nurses who serve with ingenuity and grace, reflecting the values of the Lord Jesus.

STOP 4: Mercer

  • Mercer, built to the exact proportions of Noah’s Ark, serves as the central hub for most classes and plays a big role in student life.
  • At the front, you’ll find Common Grounds, Bryan’s very own Starbucks-style café—perfect for a coffee break.
  • Across the hall is the Academic Resource Center (ARC), offering free tutoring, career help, and more.
  • On the first floor, down the hall to the right, is the campus store—feel free to browse! Right next door is the Mailroom, where every student has their own mailbox.
  • Upstairs on the third floor, you’ll find the Engineering and Biology departments, home to many of Bryan’s science and tech courses.
  • When you’re ready, head back downstairs to the second floor and exit to the right.
Dormitories

STOP 5: Women's Dormitories

  • After exiting Mercer, you’ll find the women’s dorms just to your right.
  • First up is Huston, a community-style dorm where students enjoy their own private rooms but share bathrooms, creating a welcoming and close-knit atmosphere.
  • Next is Arnold, a suite-style dorm that offers a bit more privacy with connected rooms and private bathrooms—perfect for those who like a balance of personal space and socializing.
  • Finally, there’s Robinson, another community-style dorm similar to Huston, known for its friendly vibe and strong sense of community.
  • Each dorm comes equipped with a cozy lounge, a kitchen, and laundry facilities—great spots to relax, cook, and catch up with friends after a busy day.

STOP 6: Summer's Gymnasium

  • Summer’s Gymnasium is where the action happens—home to our basketball and volleyball games, as well as some physical education classes. It’s a lively spot where school spirit really shines during game days.
  • Athletes benefit from having physical trainers just steps away in the lower-left corner of the gym, providing expert support right where it’s needed.
  • You’ll also find the offices of the sports faculty and coaches here, making Summer’s the heart of our athletic community.
Overlook

STOP 7: The Overlook

  • The Overlook is one of the newest additions to campus and has quickly become a favorite gathering space for students. Overlooking the soccer field, it features a spacious deck with hanging swings and warm ambient lighting that create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
  • The surrounding turf area offers additional seating along with recreational options like cornhole and spikeball, making it a great spot for both relaxing and having fun.
  • To keep things cozy, the space includes two gas fireplaces and a wood-burning fire pit—perfect for evening gatherings and campus events.
  • Outdoor Kitchen Amenities: The Overlook also boasts a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, complete with a refrigerator, granite countertop, and high-top seating, ideal for cookouts, socials, or casual meals with friends.
Dormitories

STOP 8: Men's Dormitories

  • As you leave The Overlook, you’ll spot the pickleball and basketball courts on your right—a favorite hangout for students and even staff during their free time.
  • Just past the courts, you’ll find the Men’s Dorms.
  • The first building is Woodlee-Ewing, a suite-style dorm where rooms are connected by shared bathrooms, offering a balance of privacy and community.
  • Next is Long Hall, a community-style dorm featuring single rooms with shared bathrooms—perfect for those who enjoy having their own space while still being part of a close-knit hall environment.
  • Both dorms include a student lounge, kitchen, and laundry room, making them comfortable places to live, hang out, and build friendships.
Building

STOP 9: Latimer Student Center

  • The Latimer Student Center is the heart of campus life at Bryan, with something to offer on every floor.
  • On the first floor, you’ll find the Dining Hall, where students enjoy a variety of food options—including a salad bar, a rotating pizza and Mexican station, a Sub Line, desserts, and more. There’s something here for every craving!
  • The second floor features the Prideland Grill and the Lion’s Den, a fun space filled with pool tables, ping pong, and other games. You’ll also find the Office of Student Life and the Resident Directors’ offices—perfect for getting involved or connecting with campus leaders.
  • Up on the third floor, there’s a weight and aerobics room for those wanting to stay active. Further down the hall, you’ll come across a prayer room, a student lounge, and our Counseling Services.
  • From here, you’ll head back to Stophel to wrap up your official tour. Thanks for exploring campus with us!

STOP 10: Soccer Field

  • The Soccer Field is one of the most spirited spots on campus! At Bryan, soccer is a big deal—students cheer on the team with the same energy you’d see at a football school.
  • You’ll find the field just to the left of the road. It features bleachers where students, parents, and fans cheer on the Lions. Near the dugouts, there’s a concessions stand and restrooms to keep everyone comfortable during the game.
  • And if you look just beyond the soccer field to the left, you’ll also spot the softball field!
Baseball field

STOP 11: Baseball Field

  • To the right of the road, you’ll find Bryan’s Baseball Field—another favorite hangout on campus. On game days, students and families gather on the grassy hill with chairs and blankets, creating a laid-back atmosphere as they cheer on the Lions.
  • It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a sunny afternoon, soak up some school spirit, and support the team in classic Bryan style!

STOP 12: Strength Center

  • Just up the sidewalk, inside the tan building, you’ll find the Strength Center—also known as the Practice Gym. This is a go-to spot for staying active on campus. It’s equipped with free weights, machines, and treadmills for individual workouts, plus a full basketball court that’s perfect for shooting around or catching a pickup game.
  • Athletic teams often use the space for lift training and occasional practices, so don’t be surprised if you catch a team in action. Whether you’re an athlete or just looking to stay fit, the Strength Center has everything you need!
