Ms. Beth Hixson, a lifelong resident of Rhea and Bledsoe counties, has deep roots in the community. Growing up on a hundred-acre farm nearby, she developed a love for animals and actively participated in the 4-H club. Now happily married, Ms. Hixson and her spouse are proud parents to two daughters, both of whom graduated from Bryan College, as well as a son-in-law. Their family’s commitment to education is evident, and their ties to Bryan College run strong. Alongside their dedication to academic pursuits, Ms. Hixson and her family are actively involved as members of their local church, contributing to their vibrant community.
I was hired in July 2001 as a team member in the financial aid office. About six weeks later we moved into the reconstructed Mercer Hall which had burned in February 2000. I have enjoyed my years at Bryan. My husband and I have been hall parents many of those years and keep in touch with several of our hall daughters. I was given the distinct honor of Staff Member of the Fall of 2006.
