Mr. Bruce Morgan, originally from a small town in North Louisiana, enlisted in the army after high school. It was during his military service that he found salvation in Jesus Christ and formed a lasting bond with a chaplain who became his mentor for over thirty years. After the military, Mr. Morgan attended Bryan College, graduating with a degree in History and a teaching certificate. He then dedicated 17 years to teaching in Christ-centered high schools across three different states. Returning to Bryan College in 1999, Mr. Morgan joined the Student Life department, where he met his wife, Jerri. They were married in May 2002 and are proud parents to Rose, a freshman at Bryan College, and Andrew, a rising senior at Rhea County High School.
My time at Bryan has seen its ups and downs, but blessedly it has been mostly ups. God has blessed me to be able to spend time with young people and I have been granted the opportunity to disciple or mentor many of them. I have especially enjoyed recently being able to disciple a few Black American students and help them to grow in biblical knowledge. Prayerfully, this will be helping them to grow closer in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
